Sara Weingartner, doing business as Creative Soul Design, has worked as a free-lance illustrator, graphic designer and painter since 1995. She graduated with a fine arts degree from the University of St. Thomas, with much of her fine arts study completed at Hamline University, both in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has also taken classes at The Altelier Lack in Minneapolis, and The Art Academy in St. Paul.

Today, Sara does commercial and book illustration, children's artwork, wedding invitations, commissions, as well as graphic design. Sara also worked as an art teacher for children ages 5-8 at The Art Academy. Current memberships include: SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators), CBIG (Children's Book Illustrators Guild of MN), and LeFemme Artists (a women's art & support group). Sara has participated in group art shows around MN.

Sara enjoys incorporating her creativity and art with her graphic design knowledge. Current and past clients include local and national businesses, corporate retailers, retail management and medical device companies, realtors, nonprofit organizations, Catholic schools, advertising agencies, local magazines and individuals and engaged couples.

Her whimsical style is influenced by nature, spirituality and LIFE, imagination, and family. Sara's painting preferences includes acrylic, oils, watercolor and ink.

Sara resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her husband and daughter.
